Northern NSW - WWTP Lagoon Desludging
January, 2019
Situation:
This Northern NSW WWTP site was undergoing a major upgrade and a major element of this project was that two sludge lagoons needed to be dewatered to provide space for a future solar farm.
Our Approach:
650 dry tonnes of sludge was removed using our DINO 6 auger suction dredge and dewatered via our VITONE V9 centrifuge. The material was subsequently transported to the designated stockpile on site for further consolidation (pictured).

Result:
The two lagoons were comprehensively desludged and back filling was then performed on Lagoon One to allow for re-purposing. Dredging Solutions were subsequently engaged to assist with removal of sludge from the digesters on site during the same upgrades.
